Nestled in the heart of the Battle of Britain Village of Manston in Thanet, Kent the Manston Sports & Social Club is a hidden gem. Whether you are looking for a quiet beer after work, a sporting club to join, a venue to host family and friends or somewhere to dance a saturday night away, there really is something for eveyone with a friendly and welcoming environment.
While Manston Sports & Social Club is a Members Club, everyone is welcome. Members enjoy the priviledge of discounted tickets, free events and priority booking, but we happily welcome everyone from the local area to use and enjoy the facilities available.
Facilities
The clubhouse has a spacious hall with a stage and an excellent dance floor. There is a licensed bar with a comfortable seating area, pool table, dartboard and a separate snooker room. The large, well appointed kitchen is suitable for catering any event.
Several clubs meet regularly at Manston Sports and Social Club as well as our own special events and activities see events and gigs.
The hall is available to hire for any occasions including, weddings, birthday parties, christenings, baby showers, etc. see your events page for more details.
The club has a maximum capacity of 250 and has full disabled access and facilities.
History
Manston Sports & Social Club was originally founded as the sports and leisure club for the employees of Hoverspeed Limited, which operated a Hovercraft service across the channel from Ramsgate. When the company ceased trading, they sold the club to the members, and the club has operated as a members club ever since, serving people from Thanet and the wider East Kent Area.
It is run by a committee of elected local volunteers.

Outdoor
The outdoor space has a full size football pitch with goals and a lit petanque pitch.
Indoor
Full size snooker table, pool table and darts. We also have selected sporting events televised.
Parking and Transport
We have a free car park for approximately 50 cars at the rear of the club and many local taxis operate in the area. However, for evening or weekend events, please do not rely on public transport.
